The single-base vertical axial flow pump makes up for the deficiencies of the submersible pump and absorbs its advantages. It also simplifies the installation and maintenance of the axial flow pump.

1. Civil engineering investment saving

For pumping stations using small submersible electric pumps and single-foundation vertical axial flow pumps, the civil construction investment can be saved by 30% to 40%, and the benefits are very significant; while in Heilongjiang Province, considering the problem of freezing in winter, it is necessary to set up the water part of the workshop , the benefits are negligible. However, compared with the conventional pump station, the motor building can be omitted, the height of the workshop can be reduced, and part of the investment can be saved.

2. Easy to install

Taking the Majiatun Pumping Station in the main embankment of the Songhua River in Zhaodong City as an example, four 700mm submersible pumps were installed in place in half an hour, while the three 700mm conventional axial flow pumps in the Xinxing Pumping Station in the main embankment of the Songhua River in Zhaodong City were installed and debugged for half a month. The installation accuracy of conventional water pumps requires a high concentricity tolerance, less than 0.03 ~ 0.04 mm/m. In addition, the installation team is mostly installed by the civil construction team, so the installation capacity is limited and the installation accuracy is insufficient. As a result, the pump shaft swings too much after the pump is started, which makes the pump output larger or the motor overloads. In severe cases, the pump cannot be started. Considering the problem of anti-freezing in winter, some pumping stations have the phenomenon of frost heave of pump bell mouth and impeller. So in winter, the pump should be hoisted out. At the same time, the influence of uneven foundation settlement caused by motor operation on concentricity should also be considered. The annual minor repairs and normal overhauls, installation and overhauls are very large, which bring great hidden dangers to the safe operation of the pumping station. Through the above comparison, the advantages of small submersible pumps are too prominent.
